Merbabu is a type of volcano Strato (see Volcano), located geographically at 7.5 ° S and 110.4 ° East. Administratively, the mountain is located in Magelang district on the western slopes and Boyolali district on the slopes of the east, Central Java Province.
Merbabu known through texts in pre-Islamic as Damalung Mount or Mount Pam (a) Rihan. On the slopes there is a hermitage ever known and never visited by Manik Bujangga in the 15th century.
